Actually, 1990 was Bill's last NYE...
...unless I hallucinated the entire evening, and not just a portion of it. Bill Graham died in a helicopter crash on October 25, 1991, two nights before the Halloween run was scheduled to begin at the Coliseum. 1990 was his final NYE appearance, making his traditional midnight entrance dressed as a witch doctor.

Bill's last hurrah
Love hearing the describtion of the new years fanfare before the second set opener. Keep in mind this was Bill's last new years. New years was never the same w/o him. They tried one more year and bagged it

nice new years
short show but some nice versions of BBM and GDTRFB. Iko 2 nights in the run is unusual. I like the dark star, albiet only half. I actually like night 2 to this, but a good download none the less.

I would have to disagree that is the better copy!!
The show runs at around 200 kps vs the other show @ around 197 kps. Plus the volume is a little higher & crisper. That's just my opinion!
Also, Charlie Miller's boards are never a letdown!
Thank You Charlie!

I've had kuck improving distortion caused by fried levels using eq to pull some or all band widths down. I wonder how that will work on this show?

this, for me, was a life-transformation show, a baptism of sorts! talk about a mind f%#$!! i've heard folks complainin' about only half a dark star but from what i can tell the boys were just following the muse wherever she went -and my, my, how deeply she ventured!! sound quality ain't "just exactly perfect" but it's a show to quiet the skeptics!!! thanks, charlie!!

Watch those input levels!
Whoever recorded this must have though they were using a cassette deck. Levels are high throughout with much clipping and the Sunshien Daydream is all but unusable. Too bad.
